Searching for Value Fit: Apoorva and the Cooperative Choice at Uralungal Labor Contract Co-operative Society

How does a young individual make career choices? Apoorva, a young professional struggles with value mismatch when she is working with corporate sector and starts considering an alternative option: to work with a cooperative from her home state. She is exposed to this organization through two individuals and observes how they are growing with the organization with a better value match with the organization and starts considering the importance of person/value-organization fit in her career. What information will help her make her choice? How does her value system shape her career choices? The case deals with the challenge of finding a career path that fits an individual’s values and keeps her motivated.
